Field Update & How You Can Join the Cause
The story of Tel Aviv Baseball goes back over 40 years. Generations of coaches, parents, and volunteers have poured thousands of hours into building this program and keeping the game alive in our city. In recent years, many have continued that legacy by working hard to secure improvements for our field — something that has been needed for a long time.
Today, we’re excited to share that major changes are finally beginning.
What’s Happening Over the Next Few Months
To build a better future for baseball in Tel Aviv, the field will undergo significant upgrades. This will affect practices temporarily, but the long-term payoff will be worth it.
September Work Started
– Full field prep and measuring work begins
October Work:
– Infield will be dug out and leveled
– Turf installation
– Backstop extension
November/December Work:
– New infield grass installed
– New infield dirt added and graded
January/February:
Install Lights/Dugouts
This is an exciting moment in the history of our league. For the first time in decades, we are seeing meaningful, structural improvements to the place where our kids play, grow, and develop.
We couldn’t be more ready.
Why We Need Your Help
We have been blessed with incredible initial donors who have helped us launch this project — but we are not done.
Our next major goal is to install three 12-meter light poles that will allow us to dramatically improve evening practices and eventually host night games for our Little League division. After reaching this milestone, we plan to expand lighting for all age groups so that every team in Tel Aviv can benefit.
